You do not need a passport to travel to St. Thomas if you're a U.S. citizen! However, you will need to fly with either a REAL ID or a valid U.S. passport. If you’re planning to use your passport, please double-check that it’s not expired. If you're using your state-issued ID, make sure it’s REAL ID compliant (look for the star in the corner).
When you arrive at the airport in St. Thomas, there are taxis there than can take you to your accommodations. Most taxis will wait to leave until the entire car is full and there will be multiple stops to get to your destination.
If you have a large party and want to avoid stops, you can arrange for a private taxi or cab to drive you and your family (see our recommended travel agency at the bottom of this page to help coordinate!). Plan this ahead of time!
Be sure to bring cash as they are not equipped to take Credit Cards. Only one taxi company leaves from the airport so these are all safe!

Renting a car is also an option as Taxis can add up! Most major rental car services are at this airport. Just remember, they drive on the left side of the road!
